Another week, another meme! This week’s Top Ten Tuesday, hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl, is interesting. Now given that I am a horribly predictable reader and don’t want to bore you, I’ve decided to pick my favourite quotes from books I haven’t read yet, not from the books I love and have already featured on TTT. I don’t need another reason to talk about ACOMAF even though I always find will do so anyways.
Strange the Dreamer
“And that’s how you go on. You lay laughter over the dark parts. The more dark parts, the more you have to laugh. With defiance, with abandon, with hysteria, any way you can.”
For this quote, I think I can take a good guess that I’ll love Strange the Dreamer. Doesn’t it sound wonderful? I haven’t seen many reviews that criticize Strange. I think I need to read this whimsical book a lot sooner.
A Gathering of Shadows
“Everyone’s immortal until they’re not.”
I adore this series. 😍 I fell in love with the world building in the first book, and I’ve dying to go back to Red London ever since. Plus, I want to see what Lila and Kell are up to.
The Last Namsara
“Then may Death send his worst. Cold to freeze the love in my heart. Fire to burn my memories to ash. Wind to force me through the gates. Time to wear my loyalty away. I’ll wait for you at Death’s gate.”
😮😮😮 THAT WRITING
The Last Namsara has been on my radar since it first came out. And I think with this quote, I’ll have to bump this book up higher on my TBR pile.
Shadow and Bone
“Fine, make me your villain.”
And with just five words, I know I’d love this series. When I was first introduced to Grishaverse, I had no clue what was what, and finding out took much longer (pro tip: don’t skip the first series, or you’ll regret the inevitable spoilers). Then Kaz showed me his devious world, and I’ve been hooked since then.
Throne of Glass
“Libraries were full of ideas—perhaps the most dangerous and powerful of all weapons.”
I actually have the entire series (to date) on my shelf. Have I read it? No. Why not?! Books keep on getting published, and I keep losing the opportunity to do so. 😐 I wonder if which character I’ll prefer: Aelin (yes I already spoiled myself by finding out who she is) or Feyre.
I honestly don’t think that any other character can compare to Rhys though.
Laini Taylor’s writing is always quotable ❤ I'd highlight her whole book if I could XD

First of all: *scream internally for cover redesign of Grishaverse*
But yes I also enjoyed the moment when Darkling made that statement. A true mood of the series!

Yesss! I’ll be honest. I skipped the original editions and went straight to these ones.
Bless that character ❤️

Oh I loved the Shadow and Bone trilogy! I’m so glad I decided to read it before Six of Crows because I was already familiar with the world and I noticed a lot of references in SoC!!!

I had no bloody clue what was going on in SoC 😂

Not one character will ever be able to top Rhys. NOT ONE.
But the writing in Throne of Glass is superb as well, so I can’t even pick which one’s my favorite. ToG has some interesting males as well – none as interesting as Rhys, obviously – but still.

That man is perfection.
I’ve spoiled myself with ToG, but I think I’d love Dorian though. That cinnamon roll is adorable.
