Top Ten Tuesday | Books on My Spring TBR

Hey, everyone!

I’m going to love doing this Top Ten Tuesday, now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. Who’s eagerly anticipating this new season’s books?! I’ve been waiting to talk about my impending Spring TBR list. And it’s big. Help me. 😰  But I’m super excited to get my hands on these great YA books.

So buckle in for this long TTT!

Ace of Shades by Amanda Foody

Ahh, Ace of Shades is throwing massive hints of Six of Crows, but I don’t care. I’m loving the whole gambling feel to the book, and I can’t wait to see how Amanda plays off the fantasy. But what I look forward the most is the thieves and shady characters.

Don’t forget about the pre-order giveaway for Ace of Shades!

Sky in the Deep by Adrienne Young

Sky in the Deep is huge on Instagram right. Bloggers cannot get enough of it, and I can see why. A female raised to be a warrior? Hell yes, I am reading this book. And when betrayal is mixed in, I know I’ll love it.

This debut novel also has a giveaway. Find out more here.

Ash Princess by Laura Sebastian

Does this cover look familiar? I have a big Red Queen déjà vu when I look at it. But I have to admit that it’s what hooked me in, so I can’t complain about it too much. I haven’t heard a lot about this new author, but I’m definitely intrigued by her book. And I’m always down for a revenge story.

A Court of Frost and Starlight by Sarah J. Maas

CUE THE INTERNAL FANGIRLING. I nearly screamed when I saw the cover. Feyre’s wearing the Starfall dress. 😍 I’m going to die. I really am. Several storylines were left unfinished, and I need to know what will happen with several characters. I need my Nessian, and I need to see what’ll happen with Az, my baby bat.

Don’t miss out on getting a Night Court enamel pin from ACOFAS pre-order giveaway!

Legendary by Stephanie Garber

Okay, so who else is a big Caraval fan?! Anyone? Okay, that debut novel knocked me off my feet. I loved the writing and the storytelling. Tella and Scarlett are back at Caraval, and they have a debt to pay. I don’t know how to anticipate the ending. Stephanie tricked me with Caraval, so I’m done with guessing.

War Storm by Victoria Aveyard

So I came into this fandom about a year late, but I’ve been waiting for this finale for quite awhile. The King’s Cage makes up for the problems in Glass Sword. And with that ending in the third book, I’m team Mare. She will burn up Norta and take everyone with her.

Aftermath by Kelley Armstrong

Another contemporary novel with a twist? Hmm. Written by Kelley Armstrong? Sold. She could write crap, and I’d still read it. Anyways, over the last few years, she’s been writing phenomenal contemporary books, and Aftermath brings school shootings to the forefront. I can’t wait to read it.

Furyborn by Claire Legrand

I’m still on the fence with this book, but it has gained a lot of fans over the last six months. I’m liking some of the reviews and not enjoying the others. I just hope the big buzz around Furyborn doesn’t kill my thrill of reading it.

Smoke in the Sun by Renée Ahdieh

Flame in the Mist is one of my favourite books of 2017. I am an instant Renée fan after reading it.  Even though the ending is slightly predictable, I need to know how Mariko will outwit her brother and her betrothed. And I can’t wait to see how Okami gets out his particular situation. Political intrigue and romance will be the highlights of this finale.

A Reaper at the Gates by Sabaa Tahir

Sabaa made all her Emberlings wait almost two years. Two. Years. I get it. Writing a novel takes time, but I’d like to see if the Nightbringer will get gutted, the Commandant is slaughtered, and my two little cinnamon buns get their happy ending. What am I saying?! You don’t get happy endings in these stories. Put me out of my misery now, please.
