Bookish A-Z Survey Tag

Hey, everyone!

Here’s to another weekend. I can’t believe we’re halfway through September already. Can you believe it? Kalina from Kalina Reads tagged me, and I couldn’t pass up this great tag. Go check out her blog. I love it! This post may be long, so prepare yourself.

Author you’ve read the most books from

Kelley Armstrong, Cassandra Clare, Sarah J. Maas, and V. E. Schwab

Best sequel ever

What more can you ask for? Enemy-to-lovers romance, redemption, healing, and one hell of a cast of characters.

Currently reading

How can I pass up reading Catwoman?! She’s my all-time favourite villain/anti-hero. Thankfully, it got me out of my slight reading slump.

Drink of choice while reading

Since Fall is coming, I have to list these two delights: hot chocolate or hot cider!

Ereader or physical book

I don’t mind the convenience of an e-reader. However, I love the feel of a book in my hands. And throwing (lightly, you know I can’t hurt my babies) a book won’t cost me $200+ to replace. 🙃

Fictional character you probably would have actually dated in high school

…..I didn’t date in high school. My mind doesn’t know how to compute with this question. 😐

Glad you gave this book a chance

Honestly, I wrote off the sequel because the first book didn’t capture me as much as I wanted it to. However, I can’t get over the sequel. I love it and can’t wait for the third installment.

Hidden gem book

This beauty was a pick on my Top Ten Tuesday post. But it deserves all the recognition it can get. I can’t get over how this book is meant for book lovers. I love WWII stories, but Guernsey sets the bar high for other books.

Important moment in your reading life

Starting my book blog! I truly didn’t think I’d last more than a year. And somehow, I’m still here, two years in. 😉

Just finished

I’m an instant Kristoff fan! This book is so much more than I thought it might be.

Kinds of books I won’t read

Erotica and chick lit. I don’t mind paranormal romance or romance novels. But I’d rather keep the Christian Greys away from my shelves, thank you.

Longest book you’ve read

Voyager by Diana Gabaldon clocks in at 870 pages. You can’t imagine how many wrist cramps I got.

Major book hangover because of

I found getting into another book was infinitely harder after I finished this book.

Number of bookcases you own

Right now, I own two, but I need two large ones soon. I had to move books again so I could have some space for my new additions.

One book you have read multiple times

Kelley’s debut novel got me to where I am now. And it made me love urban fantasy and just fantasy in general. I’ll never stop promoting her work!

Preferred place to read

I love my Sheldon chair. It creaks and is slightly falling apart, but I love it regardless. Sometimes, Bud likes to steal it from me.

Quote that inspires you/gives you all the feels from a book you have read

“No. I can survive well enough on my own—if given the proper reading material.”

This quote is my life’s motto.

Reading regret

Not finishing the Harry Potter series and not reading TOG earlier!

Series you started and need to finish

This series will kill me, but I don’t care. Just bury me under a weeping willow, and I’ll be fine with this end.

Three of your all-time favourite books

WHY MUST YOU ASK THIS QUESTION?! I’ll pick my three favourite reads with main characters who are morally grey.

Unapologetic fangirl for

Territorial fae men (Maas can use the word males; I use men), enemy-to-lover relationships, and bad boys who are cinnamon buns.

Very excited for this release more than all the others

CAN’T IT COME SOONER?! I’m dying over here.

Worst Bookish habit

Skipping ahead in a book and ruining it entirely. Please tell me I’m not the only reader who does this heinous act.

X marks the spot: start at the top left of your shelf and pick the 27th book

Your latest book purchase

I really need to catch up on this series. I have so many books to read now.

ZZZ-snatcher book (last book that kept you up way too late)

I lost so much sleep with this series. Almost every chapter has a cliffhanger, and I don’t have to willpower to put down the book.

Tag time!

You know the deal: if you don’t want to do this tag, don’t feel obligated to do so. But if you want to, link back to me! I’d love to see your answers. More importantly, have fun with it!

  1. I’m picturing a scenario where you walk into an electronics store with your broken e-reader and they ask you what happened and you go into a tirade about the betrayal you experienced at the hands of a book and that you just *had* to throw it LOLOLOL

  2. I luckily discovered Throne of Glass last year… but my god it’s been a long wait… Kingdom of Ash can’t come soon enough….

  3. Thanks for the tag!😊 It looks so fun so I can’t wait to do it too!
The longest book I’ve read is also Outlander and I can totally relate to the hand cramping😂 I should probably read the rest of the series on my ereader haha
I was debating which book I should get between The Cruel Prince and To Kill a Kingdom when I go to the bookstore next week but seeing them both on your list, I might just have to get both!
