90s Movie Book Tag

Hey, book lovers!

In the last few days, you may have noticed I haven’t been around. Some family and house issues popped up. And, well, I had to prioritize. But I’m back! So let’s get to this tag, yes?!

I found this great tag on Bibliophagist. And I can’t resist these posts. I truly can’t. If you haven’t seen Sara’s blog, you’re missing out. So go check it out!

She’s All That | Name a book that is an odd pairing, but they still fit perfectly

Yes, yes, I haven’t read this yet. But I kind of spoiled myself with a few characters. Okay, most of them. But Manon and Dorian seem like an extreme pairing. They’re shaped by the same hatred and went different paths, but somehow they blend together nicely.

10 Things I Hate about You | A Book/Series You have a Love/Heart Relationship With

As much as I raved about the series, I feel I gave some of the books higher ratings than I should have given. I loved the Red Queen and King’s Cage. However, Glass Sword and War Storm didn’t hit the mark.

Clueless | A Character who is totally clueless, but you have them anyway

Oh Matthias, the cute little yellow tulip, may be one of the clueless characters I’ve ever read. I can’t blame him though. But he’s cute when he is.

Titanic | Name a book that made you cry

Let’s talk about the last book that made me cry. I seem to cry a lot when reading. I never thought I would while reading a Catwoman novel. I hate to admit that I did. The ending is gutwrenching. But I expect nothing less from Sarah.

American Pie | A book that makes you laugh

Frankly, the entire series made me laugh long into the night. I loved it. Alosa may be one of my favourite main characters. Her sass and snark are what makes her memorable.

Can’t Hardly Wait | A book with a crazy party

I’ll never forget that crowning ceremony. I thought it’d be your typical fae party. Nope. Holly gives us an explosive one I never saw coming. I can’t wait for the sequel.

Cruel Intentions | Name a character who you can never fully trust

Joseph and Mirabella. NOPE, nope, nope. I hate these two. Joseph is worse for what he did with her. His betrayal and the hurt he caused Jules made me not pick up the second book. And I hope he gets what he deserves.

Drive Me Crazy | Name your favourite “boy next door” or “girl next door couple”

I’m winging it with this question. I rarely read this trope. Anyways, several times during the series, I wanted to throttle Simon. But he’s grown into a such a great character and friend. Even though Clary never loved him as much as Jace, their short relationship, if you can call it that, was sweet.

Scream | A book with a memorable villain

I think I haven’t wanted a character like the Commander dead so much. This woman is viler than I ever thought a character could be. She has killed and tortured countless people, and she manages to outwit everyone. I don’t know if she can be killed. What more can you ask for an antagonist?

The Craft | Name a book with witches

How can I not talk about Wicked Deep? It’s the perfect witch book. But to this day, that ending still haunts me.
