Morning, ghosts and goblins!
It’s the last weekend before Halloween, and I’m beyond excited. For my next Blogoween post, I’ve picked the Creepy Crawlies prompt. Kaleena from Reader Voracious created this perfect topic.
As you can tell, I love horror movies and the books that inspired them. And after seeing them on the big and small screens, I never stop loving them. Except for one, I can’t bring myself to read the books/comics though. So here are the five worst creatures I’d never want to encounter!
π Headless Horseman (Sleepy Hollow) π
Most, if not all, of the Sleep Hollow adaptations have been my favourite movies. But when Tim Burton got a hold of this script, I knew I’d love it. The Headless Horseman didn’t scare me as much in the book than it does in the movie. There, he’s ruthless and bloodthirsty.
π Nosferatu (30 Days of Night) π
Put away your glitter, kids. These vampires don’t make CGI babies. They’ll annihilate an entire town. These beasties truly made me fear the night. The way they scream still makes me shudder. I may lose weeks of sleep if I read the comics!
Β π Samara (The Ring)π
Samara may be one character I’ve avoided for years. She has a tragic backstory, but that doesn’t make me want to read about it though. The scenes where she crawls out of the TV still makes me want to run.
π Aliens (Dreamcatcher) π
I’ll admit that I’m a huge King movie fan. Not so much with his written work though. Besides the Mist, the Dreamcatcher may be one of the freakiest alien storylines I’ve ever got to know.
π Pazuzu (The Exorcist) π
Since I was young, my mom told me never to watch the Exorcist. She is so afraid of it that she turns pale once she sees it’s on the TV. I don’t think I can break it to her that it’s based off a book. She’d burn the house with the book in it. π But don’t let her know I’m slightly creeped out over Pazuzu as well.
OMG I WAS TERRIFIED OF SAMARA FOREVER! I really have to rewatch 30 Days of Night!
