Bookish Naughty or Nice Tag

Morning, book nerds!

Can I mention we have only 2 weeks until Christmas? I’ve been counting down the days, and I can’t fathom how quickly the holidays are speeding up so quickly.

I wanted to save this post for my 12 Days of Blogmas. But since Teagan and Jess from Fiction No Chaser tagged me, I couldn’t resist. I’ve been waiting for a Christmas-themed tag! And it’s such a great one. Thank you, dearies!

RULES

  • Tag & link the person who tagged you
  • Tag and link me/this post (if you would be so kind, I love reading your answers!)
  • Tick/cross off the ones you’ve done
  • Tag another 10 people!

The List | Check It Twice

Received an ARC and not reviewed it

Thankfully, I’m pretty good with finishing ARCs on time.

Have less than 60% feedback rating on Netgalley

LOL, I have a NetGalley account, but I haven’t used it yet.

Rated a book on Goodreads and promised a full review was to come on your blog (and never did)

Honestly, I have so many reviews saying “RTC” that I’m surprised someone hasn’t bothered me yet.

Folded down the page of a book

I used to be bad with this habit. But now, I just use bookmarks.

Accidentally spilled on a book

I spilled some water on my hardcover copy of A Darker Shade of Magic, and I still feel horrible.

DNF a book this year

I don’t see DNFing as a bad thing though. I’ve given a lot of time to books that didn’t keep me interested. I need to DNF more titles.

Bought a book purely because it was pretty with no intention of reading it

My most recent book purchase is the collector’s edition of Throne of Glass. So you know my answer.

Read whilst you were meant to be doing something else (like homework)

I pull this off almost every week. I am such a procrastinator that I’m surprised I’m not behind on everything in my life.

Skim read a book

Obviously, I can’t skim an entire book, but if there are sections that are boring, or I want to find out what happens to a particular character, then I definitely skim.

Completely missed your Goodreads goal

Well, if you give me a few more weeks, then perhaps, I’ll fail this year’s goal. I’m about 2 books behind. 😭

Borrowed a book and not returned it to the library

Since my local library doesn’t always update its book collection, I rarely use it.

Broke a book buying ban

I am not a measly peasant (more likely, I am), so book bans do not concern me. So the answer’s yes. 😅

Started a review, left it for ages, then forgot what the book was about

I believe I have about 3 or 5 reviews in my Draft’s folder that can wholeheartedly agree with my statement. I am horrible when writing reviews.

Wrote in a book you were reading

Neva. Never. Never. Textbooks, sure. Well, okay, there was one mandatory school book I wrote in and informed the next readers they’ll be utterly bored as I was. But other than that time, I usually don’t.

Finished a book and not added it to your Goodreads

One of the only reasons why I use Goodreads is to update my lists.

Borrowed a book and not returned it to a friend

Okay, I can explain. Truly, I can. I borrowed several books from a former friend who has refused to talk to me, so how can I return the books?

Dodged someone asking if they can borrow a book

ALL THE TIME. No one else touches my babies. No one.

Broke the spine of someone else’s book

WHY WOULD ANYONE DO THAT?! I can’t break my own.

Took the jacket off a book to protect it and ended up making it more damaged

Why must this tragedy happen? You’d think that it’d be safe. But no. Life is cruel, and it aims to hurt my babies and their jackets.

Sat on a book accidentally

I don’t know what’s wrong with me. I am such a stickler for keeping my books in excellent condition.

My Final Score: Nice: 6, Naughty: 14

Am I surprised? Not a single bit.

Tag Time

You know the drill. If you don’t feel up to doing this tag, don’t feel like you must do it since I’ve tagged you. If I haven’t tagged you, and you want to do it, go ahead! Either way, if you do, link back to my post! I’d love to see your results.

  1. Thank you for the tag! I avoid lending out my books too haha + I actually have 10 books to read if I want to reach 100 so I hope I can get to them all. Great post!
