Honestly, I am loving this month. And with each post, I get more excited to spend Christmas with my family (especially my bookish fam!) and friends!
Top Ten Tuesday, originally created by The Broke and the Bookish and now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl, is a weekly meme. Last week, we listed all of our favourite winter-themed books, which got me wondering which ones I’d love to read while snowed in during the Christmas holiday. Since this week’s topic is a freebie, I thought that idea would be a wonderful choice.
I hope you enjoy my post!
Before I Let Go
I’ve seen this book floating around, but I never took the time to discover more about it though. Until now. A mystery set in in a snow-covered town will always entice me. But mixing in a mysterious murder definitely seals the deal for me.
The Afterlife of Holly Chase
How can I pass up a retelling of a Christmas Carol? I can’t! I am thrilled to find another one. I cannot get enough of this story. And I love the new twist to a beloved classic.
Beartown
I’ve read rave reviews about this riveting and heartbreaking book. Even though the storyline is dark, I feel as if I need to read Fredrik’s work. I just need to be in the right mind frame to do so.
Snow like Ashes
Do you know how long I’ve been meaning to read the series? A long, long time. When it first came out I love how the author incorporates winter into the storytelling. Add some political intrigue and magic, and you have an intriguing novel.
Shadow and Bone
Last Christmas, I bought the entire GrishaVerse series, which sat on my shelf ever since. So I knew I had to take some time and finally crack open this beauty. There’s something about a Russian-themed novel that makes me reminisce about winter.
Hunted
Other than fantasy, retellings may be my favourite genre. So I don’t know how I’ve completely skipped over this book, especially since it’s a Beauty and the Beast reimagining. It’s a perfect book to read on a cold Christmas night.
I have been wanting to get to the Snow like Ashes, Grisha series and Hunted series forever!!! I need to get to those too.

I keep seeing Hunted on so many lists. I think I need to add this one. Also, I love Fredrik Backman.

You have so many good ones in this list. The Afterlife of Holly Chase is so good and such a great play off A Christmas Carol. I still need to continue Snow Like Ashes series but loved the first one so much and you can’t go wrong with Leigh Bardugo too.
