Morning, book lovers!
Don’t panic, everyone. But we have just 1 week, 7 days, and 168 hours until Christmas. 😉
Anyways, being an 80s baby growing up in the 90s, I fell in love with the movie Nightmare before Christmas. Frankly, almost every movie Tim Burton has created is on my favourite’s list. So I was thrilled to find this tag floating around. I know the flick may be slightly unconventional, but it shaped the 90s kids. And I love to see the stories people have about it.
I found this wonderful tag on Boston Book Reader. If you haven’t checked out Kris’ blog, go do so now!
Sally | A book with a character who loves someone so much and actually gets them in the end
I wasn’t rooting for Savannah and Adam. The age difference was a bit hard to get around. But these two characters are fantastic together.
Jack | A book with a character who longs for more
Even though Alina isn’t my favourite character, since Nikolai takes that honour, I feel that she’s often lonely and separated from the people she surrounds herself with. She wants more than just the title “Sun Summoner.” And sometimes, I feel sorry for her.
Zero | A book with a loyal sidekick
I cannot wait to read the sequels of this series. Lucy is one character who I’d want to watch over my back when I was stealing from the rich!
Oogie Boogie | A Book with a wicked villain
I’ve just bought my copy of this beast, and I am so scared to read it. One reason why is the Cohorts. I loathe them. But they’re a perfectly vile villain though, and I can’t help but want to see them suffer.
Halloween Town | A book with a weird of creepy theme
End of Days is the weakest sequel in the Penryn & and End of Days series. But the overall theme of the series has haunted me ever since. Angels have turned Earth into their own battlefield. And children are being snatched up and experimented on. I still get chills when I think about that last part.
Christmas Town | A book that left you feeling all warm and fuzzy inside
Am I still reeling over the ending? YES. But this world makes me love magic and fantasy all over again. And I need to read Finale now, or I may not survive the wait.
Tag Time
I know I wasn’t tagged, but I thought you’d all love to do this tag. So there’s no pressure if you’re not up to doing it. So you know the drill: if you decide to do the tag, I’d love to see your post, so link back to mine.
Merry Christmas, everyone!

Apart from the tag itself; I LOOOVE THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS.
I actually went to a Tim Burton exposition earlier this year; bought that giant monster of a book with a collection of his work and.. Oh, I have a tattoo of The Nightmare Before Christmas? [But I’m not obsessed or anything. Truly.] Hahaha. 😀
