Okay, I’ll admit: I made this list much smaller than it truly is. I wouldn’t be surprised if it balloons to more than 30 books. I may want to reign in my TBR list, but I doubt I’ll tackle that task in my lifetime.
Top Ten Tuesday, originally created by The Broke and the Bookish and now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl, is a weekly meme. For the next topic, we show off our anticipated reads of the first half of 2019. So my list may be short, but at least I won’t keep you here for forever. 😉
I hope you enjoy my picks. And I can’t wait to see what you choose for your list!
Slayer
I wish I read the graphic novels that continued the Buffy story, but I think this book is a great start though. And with Kiersten at the helm, I know this series is going to be good!
The Wicked King
I don’t care how many times I’ve talked about this book. I need it more than any other release. My dark, black heart is calling out for more devious plot twists at the hands of Jude and her king, Cardan. I may have squealed when I found out my copy just mailed out!
The Cerulean
By chance, I happened to see this gorgeous cover, and I couldn’t stop staring at it. And when I read the blurb, oh, you know how it goes.
King of Scars
I demand more Nikolai with his gloved hands and his mischievous attitude to life. I loved reading Six of Crows, and I adored finally introducing myself to the pirate king in GrishaVerse. But what has happened to Ravka after everything has settled?
Aurora Rising
Intergalactic misfits? YES. Written by Jay Kristoff and Amie Kaufman? Eeee! Interdimensional space? I am giddy. One of the most beautiful 2019 covers I’ve seen? I am squeeing.
Jay Kristoff is an insta-buy author for me. And for my love for the Illuminae Files, which I haven’t read yet, I can’t help but automatically add this book to my TBR list.
Queen of Ruin
Who doesn’t enjoy a deadly game of feminism and uprising? I never thought I’d enjoy reading Grace and Fury, but it’s one of my favourite reads of 2018. Sisterhood, revolution, and revenge are what I’m looking forward to delving into.
Cruel Fate
Rough Justice still sits on my shelf. And I’m not sure, at this point, when I’ll get to it. But if I’m hoping to read Cruel Fate, I may want to rectify that issue. But my ship sank badly, and I’m not sure if I like how the storyline turns out. But I’d love to see more of Olivia and her new life though.
I didn’t know “Slayer” was being published. As a huge Buffy fan, I can’t wait to read it!
This is my Top Ten Tuesday post.

While I [regrettably] have not finished Crooked Kingdom (which I also just found out there’s a book 3), I’m stoked for King of Scars because Nikolai was, without question, my favourite character in the Grisha trilogy and deserved so much better lolol.
Cheers,

I just added The Cerulean and Slayer to my TBR. I actually thought Slayer was already on my TBR, but I guess not

I hope you enjoy The Cerulean! That one is on my list too, though I’m a bit nervous about it since I don’t usually like space books. And you’re right, the cover for it is so gorgeous!
