I never thought one of my posts would make me feel guilty over not reading enough books. But here I am. 😂
Top Ten Tuesday, originally created by The Broke and the Bookish and now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl, is a weekly meme. For this week’s prompt, we get to talk about books we wanted to read last year but never got to them.
This week, I’m keeping my list short. I hope you all enjoy!
The City of Brass
Fantasy, historical fiction, and romance all entwined into one novel should be a definite read. When I found that djinns are in this book, well, I can’t deny myself this.
Circe
I love reading mythological books, but I rarely get to them though. Most of the time, I usually tend to go toward fantasy and stick with that. However, many bloggers have swayed me to read this one. And how can I pass up that cover?!
Ash Princess
I bought Ash Princess solely because the cover drew me in, and I don’t regret my decision for the purchase. What I do regret is not reading it sooner. The storyline may be a bit predictable, but I’m always down for a new series.
Girls of Paper and Fire
It is so damn beautiful. It truly is. Ever since I bought this treasure, I wanted to drop all the other books so I could read this one. But you know how life gets.
Heart of Iron
I need to stop putting science fiction titles on my shelf, forget about them, then casually look at them while I pick up another book. But seeing as the sequel is coming up, I should push it up sooner, right? Yeah, someone pester me, please.
Dark Lover
My bestie Beth will kill me for having this book on this list. Given that I promised to read it, I should get to it before she finds out. 😅 Sometimes vampire books are iffy for me, but my soulmate sister hasn’t failed me yet. And frankly, I already love the characters.
Loved Circe 🙂 It’s the only one I have read from this list!

Circe has been on so many lists this week. I hope that means it’s a good read!

Same! But I rarely see a negative review about it.

There are so many on your list that I also meant to read and haven’t gotten to–Circe is by far the top. Even my friends who are outside the book blogging community keep telling me to read it lol.

I really want to read Circe soon! I’ve noticed lots of people added it to their TTT this week.
Hope you enjoy all of these once you read them!

I think your review is what persuaded me to add it to my tbr list.

I flipped through the first book and thought the same. But I hear nothing but great reviews for the series!

I’m a fan of the Black Dagger Brotherhood series and yes, as the previous commentor stated, the names are a bit out there.

Lol, no doubt. My friend talks about them all the time. And the names throw me off.

City of Brass, Circe, and Girls of Paper and Fire are all still sitting on my owned tbr, taunting me.

Oh, Ash Princess and Circe! I got both of those in December, I think so it makes sense I haven’t read those yet, haha. You should totally get your reading groove on for Girls of Paper and Fire though. Loooove that one! ❤
