Okay, book bloggers,
Who’s ready for February’s first TTT post? This month is short, but I’m so ready for a new start.
Top Ten Tuesday, originally created by The Broke and the Bookish and now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl, is a weekly meme. The first prompt of the month is upcoming books we’re unsure of adding to our TBR list. I have hundreds of titles on my Goodreads shelves. And sometimes I’m hesitant to add more onto them. So here are my recent picks I’m still not sold on:
Can we simply take a moment to marvel at this cover?! Please. I cannot stop looking at it. I recently dropped by my local Indigo store and saw this beauty on the shelves. French court, historical fiction, and romance roll up to make this a compelling read.
I bought Furyborn on a whim. And I wonder when I’ll actually crack it open. Several reviewers have made me question if I want to start the series though. So why would add the sequel? But I’m interested to see where it goes.
I’ve gone back and forth with this title. And I still don’t know what I’ll do. I love when I complete a series and see it on my shelf. But with the allegations against the author, who I haven’t heard of until DC Icons, I doubt I’ll buy it.
Instagram almost persuades me to buy new books as much as WordPress does. So seeing many influencers promote Bloodleaf has drawn my attention. Forbidden magic and assassinations have hooked me in. But I don’t want to take a risk until I read reviews from my trusted bloggers though.
I got burned by the ending of War Storm. I wanted to love it, but I couldn’t get past how disjointed the storyline became. While in the beginning, I was excited to hear Victoria is including another addition to her series, I feel as if she didn’t wrap up the story as she should have. And now we’re getting another book. Why?
Wherever She Goes
Kelley is typically an insta-buy author for me. I adore her writing and her world building. But I’m uncertain on her forthcoming book. The blurb is intriguing, but I’m not completely sold on the book though.
