Top Ten Tuesday | Books I Loved with Fewer than 2,000 GR Ratings

Did anyone else struggle with this topic? I had to browse through my entire Goodreads read list just to find some titles. ๐Ÿ˜… But fear not. I’ve found something to work with!

Top Ten Tuesday, originally created by The Broke and the Bookish and now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl, is a weekly meme. The next prompt talks about books with no more than 2,000 Goodreads ratings. So don’t expect to see a lot of your favourites on this list.

So I won’t waste any more time. I hope you love this week’s picks!

Royally Bad

Millionaire romance? I read that? Really? I’m still trying to wrap my head around me taking a risk on this book. But I’m so happy I did though. Even though it’s an insta-lust, fast burn novel, I couldn’t get enough of these bad boy prince.

Bruja Born

Yes, I’ve feature Zoraida’s books before. And while Labyrinth Lost is a bit underwhelming, I can’t stop raving around Bruja Born. Zoraida puts a Latina spin on zombies in the mix of a not-so-warm love story.

I have followed the Women of the Otherworld series since I was 13. So when I heard we’d get a limited edition novella revolving around the twin werewolves, Logan and Kate, there was no choice but to read it.

Deadly Sweet

285 ratings

Witches, curses, spells, and cupcakes galore. I loved the new take on the witch storyline. And honestly, for the entire book, I wanted to live off of frosting and cake.

Cover love, much. I immediately signed up for this book’s blog tour. Even though some of the writing is a bit predictable, I enjoyed this YA fantasy. Forbidden love will always be one of my favourite tropes!

Against a Darkening Sky

I first fell in love with that gorgeous cover. But the story itself is more than just a shiny design. Pagan, witches, and faith have never blended well together. And Lauren puts everything on the line in this thrilling historical fiction.

I honestly walked away from witch stories because I’ve been burned in the past. But I love this series. Forbidden love, demons, and coven bonding are sure winners to me.

  1. I felt the same way about the Brooklyn Brujas series! I was somewhat disappointed by Labyrinth Lost, but I liked it enough to pick up the sequel. I started reading Bruja Born with low expectations and that book surprised me, I ended up loving it – it felt both more mature and well-written than the first book to me. Great list!
