A new month, a new start. I’ve been waiting for the latter for awhile now. I can see Spring on the way, even though it snowed yesterday. So who else is excited for the new month?
Top Ten Tuesday, originally created by The Broke and the Bookish and now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl, is a weekly meme. The first prompt is characters I’d love to switch places with. Sara from A Gingerly Review, who submitted this topic, has stumped me. And I didn’t know how to start my post. Most of the characters I’ve read have suffered, and I’m not sure if I’m down for suffering with them, if you understand what I mean.
But I can’t skip out on March’s first topic. So here are my top picks! I hope you love my choices.
Newt Scamander and Luna Lovegood from the Potterverse
I love these two. They’re adorable and pure. If I were able to take care of legendary creatures or to see beyond this world, I would infinitely love every single day.
Kady Grant from The Illuminae Files
She’s short with a rebellious streak, dammit. If the pink hair doesn’t convince me, then I don’t know what will.
Church from the Shadowhunters Series
Being loved by Will and Jem will sway me all the time. So don’t be surprised to see Church on this list, especially since I’m part cat.
Amren from ACOTAR
She drinks blood, she’s short, she puts the fear into every soul, and she calls everyone “child.” I’d love that kind of respect…or fear.
Adelia Aguilar from Mistress of the Art of Death Series
No, I wouldn’t trade my life of luxury so I could travel back to the 12 century. I enjoy baths and air conditioning, thank you. And the publication of books back then was horrible. However, she goes against the norm and champions the hidden and forgotten people.
Savannah Levine from the Women of the Otherworld
Part witch, part sorcerer, part demi-demon, Savannah has a wild streak, an untamable temper, and a wicked power. Her past is heart-wrenching. However, her inner power and determination are what make her an intriguing character.
Lila Bard from Shades of Magic Series
I love her. I love her spunk, her sass, and her strength. Captain and thief, she is one woman to aspire to.
Margo from the Magicians
Okay, she doesn’t exist in the original book series. But I don’t care. She swears like me, she cocky and arrogant, and I can’t get enough of her.
