Thank You, Next Book Tag

Happy Saturday!

These past few days have been a whirlwind of activity, and I’ve had little time to do anything. Unfortunately, I haven’t been around in the blogosphere lately. So I wanted to start the weekend off with a new tag post.

I thank JoBeth from Blue Binding for tagging me. Please do not miss out on her blog!

Name a book you said “thank u, next” to (a book you did not finish)

I’m sorry Leigh, but I couldn’t finish it. I will eventually, but the pacing at the beginning is too slow for me.

Name a book that taught you love (a book you loved)

I read this when several years ago, my Mom came down with pneumonia. It was one of the worst experiences we’ve gone through. Like the book portrayed, no matter how far you run, family will always find a way back to each other.

Name a book that taught you patience

Uh, it’s still teaching me. I want nothing more than to marathon read Finale. But I want to take my time.

Name a book that taught you pain

You don’t know how much I cried when I read the sequel. It’s not a love story. It’s a redemption one.

Name a book that you loved at the time of reading, but in hindsight, you don’t like as much, though you still learned something from it

At first, I gave this book four stars. But when I think about it, I think that rating is a tad high. Sure, I loved reading it, but I feel there wasn’t enough character development.

Name a book you are currently talking to (have the hots for)

Sorcerers, libraries that contain books with souls, and grimoires? How badass is that?

Name the book that gon’ last (the book that helped you love yourself a little bit more)

I don’t know what’s with the series, but I connect with Summer/Sunshine more than I would. Okay, I don’t tear up as much as she does. But my first instinct when facing my past is to run. I see similar traits in her as I see in myself.

  1. I agree on Aurora Rising – I gave it 4 stars as well because it was fun, but I did feel it was more of a 3.5 stars after the glow wore off. I enjoyed the story, but the characters were a bit shallow
