Where has the time gone? The months are flying by too fast, I feel. Even though my long weekend plans shriveled up, I knew I wanted to set aside some free time for my posts and my books.
I’m excited and proud to say that Mom has just two more rounds of chemo left! She started back in March, and we never thought we’d reach this far. She’s gone through so much. Even though our lives are still hell, I cannot be prouder of what she’s done.
So let’s start off a new month with a wrap-up post! Have fun.
I’m honestly surprised these books made this post. After reading Finale, I knew I had to bring out the big guns so I wouldn’t fall into a harsh reading slump.
Finale by Stephanie Garber
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I cannot believe that the series is over. We readers have too many unresolved feelings about it. And I wish there were more sequels to fill in the missing pieces. Even if the ending is predictable, I love Stephanie worldbuilding.
Love and Lead by Coralee June
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️½
I was not ready to leave this world. I adore the Bullets and love how they’ve evolved into their own characters. Even though the ending is explosive, I know we have one more title, Nyx’s story, which I am dying to read!
The Crow’s Murder by Tate James
⭐️⭐️⭐️½
As much as I love Tate’s series, I feel that the Crow’s Murder is the weakest sequel in the series. I love Wesley, but I needed more character growth in this one. However, I had no say in ignoring that cliffhanger.
The Alpha’s Pack by Tate James
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Finally, I get to read River’s story! I’ve been waiting for so long. Besides Austin and Cole, I adore River. And his storyline brings a new twist to the group.
I had all the intention to add more to this list. But even though I was interested in several other titles, I didn’t feel like picking them up until later. Do you know what I mean? But I’m eager to read these goodies!
- DEV1AT3 by Jay Kristoff
- Soul of the Sword by Julie Kagawa
- Ghosts of the Shadow Market by Cassandra Clare, Maureen Johnson, Sarah Rees Brennan, and Robin Wasserman
Ahh! We have arrived at the fun part: posts I loved reading! Here are my favourites:
- Kal from Reader Voracious has gone to self-hosting. And I am so proud of her! Do not wait to see her new blog. It’s to die for.
- Christine from The UnCorked Librarian discusses plagiarism in our book community. Her post is a definite must.
- Julia Britt, and Ari from The Red Hatter Book Blog go on the defensive when an author attacks them over their review.
- Meg and Leah from Twin Reads say goodbye to blogging.
- Ally from Ally Writes Things gives us tips on how to increase traffic on your blog.
I’m pleased to hear about your mum, it’s such good news that she’s got a few rounds left and I hope she’s resting the best she can!

I’m so happy for your mom!!! I think it’s the most awful feeling to watch loved ones suffer and requires so much strength, I truly wish you all the best for the last two rounds ❤

I am so happy to hear about your mom, and you are all in my thoughts!
Sad about Finale and wish there would be more books or some novellas in the world because I need more. Her worldbuilding is incredible.

I also agree that we need some Caraval novellas. *cough*jacks*cough*
