The Cliché Book Tag

Hey, everyone!

This week has been stressful yet invigorating. I haven’t had any time to be around much since my Mom and I have been staying over at the hospital. She’s finally finished chemo (woo!), so I’ve been dead to the blogging world.

I didn’t want to ease back into my posts with anything too difficult. So when I saw this tag on Rachel Tea Reads, I knew it’d be a good start. If you haven’t checked out Rachel’s original post or even Rachel’s blog, take some time and do it!

I hope you like the post. Have fun!

Actions Speak Loud Than Words | A Book That Wasn’t or Couldn’t Be Better Than The Movie

You thought I’d use Princess Bride, right? After reading the bad reviews of the series, I see no reason to kill my love of the show by reading the book.

The Grass is Always Greener on the Other Side | A Rags-to-Riches Or Riches-to-Rags Story

I never thought that this novel had a rags-to-riches theme, but Roshani subtly sneaks it in, which I love.

The Apple Doesn’t Fall Far From The Tree | A Parent-Child Relationship That You Love

Have I even read a novel with that kind of relationship in it? Typically, YA ones don’t often show that. I’d have to say the Renegades series does.

You Can’t Judge a Book By It’s Cover | A Great Book That Needs a Better Cover

Sorry Marie, but I still do not like the colouring of your sequel. It bothered me.

You Can’t Please Everyone | A Book You Hate That Everyone Loves

I blindly listening to many readers without reading the three-star reviews. I waited for months to read the book and only found disappointment. I doubt I’ll read Heather’s next title.

What Doesn’t Kill You Makes You Stronger | What’s A Book That Made You A Better Person for Having Read It

I don’t know what’s about the title I’m reading now. But falling for a book that has a character who loves reading as much as I do makes me beam.

Love is Blind | A Book with a Disabled Character or Actual Blind Love

I was close to picking Aurora Rising, but having an almost blind main character deserves a bit more attention, yes?

Ignorance is Bliss | A Book That Is Bad but You Just Don’t Want to Admit It

I’m surprised I picked the book. But I love that it’s raunchy. And I do not care if it is.

There is No Time Like the Present | What Is Your Favourite Contemporary Book?

Wonderful. I rarely read that genre. Never in my life would I had imagined reading this book. Maybe one of the actors in the movie sparked my interest, so I had to read it. But I somehow loved it.

Better Safe Than Sorry | A Book You Don’t Want to Read in case It’s Bad

I haven’t finished watching the first season, but I knew I probably couldn’t stomach the book. Sometimes, there are books you just can’t read.

  1. Thank you for tagging us!! I feel the same way about Magicians and 13 Reasons Why. I watched the show for The Magicians, and it was pretty good, but then I tried reading the book and it was…a little bit boring. As for 13 Reasons Why, I don’t think I’d be able to stomach such a depressing book, it’s the same reason why I don’t watch the show.
