Top Ten Tuesday | Book Characters I’d Love to Be Besties With

Happy Tuesday!

I’ve been so exhausted lately. Who else feels the same way? I think I’m in need of a desperate need of a vacation. But I’m excited about this post. I knew I could put twenty or more character on my list. But I want to talk about my most recent favourites. Who’s ready?

Top Ten Tuesday, originally created by The Broke and the Bookish and now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl, is a weekly meme. The second prompt is book characters you’d want to be besties with. Okay, I’ll just say that I’d want to be besties with most of the characters I read about.

Enjoy the read!

Maia from Spin the Dawn

Maia is one of those characters who reminds you how strong you truly are. Even if everything and everyone are against you, you will persevere. I wasn’t sure if I’d like her. But by the end, I adored and admired her.

Mister Kindly from Nevernight

Okay, I haven’t read the books. But I have a soft spot for demons and cats. Mister Kindly happens to be both. So how can I not want to be his bestie? Plus, I’m tempted to smoosh him.

Silas from Sorcery of Thorns

While I love Elisabeth and Nathaniel, I can’t help want to be friends with Silas. The way he cares for Nathaniel spoke to me. And I love the complexity of his character and his development.

Lemon Fresh and Cricket from DEV1AT3

I LOVE these two. And I won’t stop talking about them. Lemon Fresh is one chicky you need in your life. And Cricket is beyond words. This robot will protect you from yourself but also nudge you into some trouble.

Finian from Aurora Rising

I don’t the both of us would stop bantering. With a strong dose of snark, he’s my favourite out of the series. And I love how he isn’t afraid to say what’s on his mind.

Laila and Séverin from The Gilded Wolves

With Laila, I feel I could spend a fabulously lush night in Paris, go from one restaurant or dance halls, and have a time of our lives. But once we got back home, we’d talk about our pasts. With Séverin, we’d scheme our way through the city and not care who we’d swindle.

Vishous from the Black Dagger Brotherhood

This vampire knows how to throw a great party. And honestly, I wouldn’t be living if I missed a binger with him.

  1. I’m not familiar with anyone on this list but holy smokes those covers?? I love that demons and cats are bestie-worthy characteristics bc let’s be real, who wouldn’t want to be friends with one heheh. All these characters sound great and I’ll have to meet them for myself when I read these books one day 🙂

  2. Well Kristoff already dominates my TBR list and you just shot the NeverNight series to the top of the list of books by him, which basically puts the book at the top of my TBRs… -_-

    Well done.

I have heard aaaaaaalll the amazing things about Silas from Sorcery of Thorns and I am ready to meet this new, precious, soon-to-be-friend!
Same goes for Finian. I hear he is a chaotic good and I am so here for the chaos!! Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff are highly skilled at writing snarky characters I think XD
    Happy Reading! ❤
