Hey, everyone!
Since life is gearing up to get more stressful, I don’t want to add to anything else into the mix. So I thought a tag is a perfect way to prevent that problem. Nice and easy is what I’m looking for. I’m more of a “why choose?” reader, so I’ve kicked myself with this post. π
I found this on Romance Book Binge. Don’t be stupid and not follow Adrianna.
Reading on the Bed or the Couch?
Until lately, I’ve rarely read in my bed. But I still prefer my chair over anything else.
Male Main Character or Female Main Character?
Definitely female. I love when they go against the grain. They swear, they kill, they curse someone, they maim, and they don’t care. Males are great. But I love when a female character shows these guys who’s whom.
Sweet Snacks or Salty Snacks while Reading?
Neither. I hate when I eat while reading. The last time I did, I ruined a book I had to replace. And I hated myself for a long time. I’m weird like that though.
Trilogies or Quartets?
I’d rather have trilogies. I truly do. I feel with quartets that there should be more books, like six. I love more novels, but I feel cheated with simply four.
Reading First Person or Third Person POV?
I’m not sure. I love both. But I think first person immerses me in the storytelling. And I don’t feel like I’m looking in on the story, you know?
Reading at Night or in the Morning?
Night! I’m a total night owl, and I absolutely adore reading when it’s dark. I don’t typically read in the mornings or afternoons. Doing so feels too odd to me.
Libraries or Bookstores?
Unfortunately, I can’t always rely on my local library. Even though we do get new releases, we may have only one copy, which’s in high demand. So I must stick with bookstores and online stores for my books.
Books That Make You Laugh or Cry?
Why not laughing cry? I’ve had that happen before. Honestly, I prefer to cry. I don’t cry often in my life, except when books are the culprit. So I know a book is great when I cry.
Black Book Covers or White Covers?
I love both. However, I think I love black covers more. They match the majority of my other novels, and they look just damn pretty.
Character Driven or Plot Driven?
Hands down, I need character-driven storylines. I love when the plot is solid, but I look forward to the characters, I connect with them, and I remember them.

Omg I’ve been wanting to do this tag for ages, thank you for tagging us! π It’s so fun to see what everyone’s reading preferences are! I agree with you – quartets are just weird, either make it a trilogy or go all out! AND YES TO CHARACTER DRIVEN BOOKS!! I find it so hard to enjoy a book if I’m not a fan of the characters, even if the writing is phenomenal!
Can’t wait to do the tag, thanks again, Siobhan!! π

I am a total night owl as well!! My parents used to have to check my room when I was young because I’d steal a torch and read under the blanket after lights off (sometimes until 2am)!!

Thanks for the tag! I also prefer female MCs and when they push the boundaries society places on them. Trilogies all the way, too, but I think I prefer duologies
