Happy Tuesday!
Well, it snowed last night. I’m in a sea of white stuff, and it’s not even winter yet. I shouldn’t complain though. It does look pretty from afar. 😂
Top Ten Tuesday, originally created by The Broke and the Bookish and now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl, is a weekly meme. The next prompt is favourite bookmarks! I don’t use many since I usually stick with a few and go from there. But I thought I’d make a list of all the bookmarks I’ve used over the years.
Enjoy the post!
Constellation (Fake Leather) Bookmark
This bookmark is well used. And it’s my go-to one I always pick up. It’s just a simple strip of black fake leather with gold constellations printed on it and a dangly star piece. I love it.
Buddy’s Tail
He wants to kill me for it every time, but if he lays down near me, then I’m not responsible for using any of his body parts as a bookmark. Typically though, I don’t have much time when I do use it. He likes nothing more than for me to lose my spot.
Receipts
I know. I know. Almost every reader has used receipts as bookmarks. And I’m one of them, especially if I can’t find my favourite one. But they are quite handy and convenient though!
Owlcrate Bookmarks
I’ve just started my subscription with Owlcrate, and I love their monthly bookmarks. Each box, the bookmark will feature that month’s book. And each bookmark is different. So you don’t know what kind you’ll receive.
Remote Control
When I’m in a bind and can’t find anything for a bookmark, I’ll use my remote. It’s there, it’s handy, and it’s what I need at that moment. It’s certainly not ideal, but it gets the job done.
Quote/Movie Bookmarks
I typically find these little gems at Indigo or other bookstores. I don’t always buy them since I have a lot of them. But if one catches my eye, I cannot resist. You can never have too many bookmarks.
I’ve used a receipt and a remote before as well. Really anything that is nearby. 😉

Haha I like how you went creative and put in things like remotes and your pet’s tail. At least you didn’t include crackers and Vitamin Water, LOL.

You can never have too many! I’d love a bookmark with a nice quote on.

I’ve definitely been known to use a receipt or two. Earlier today I also found so much money in various books while looking for some of the bookmarks I own 😂

I’ve never used the remote before, but I have stuffed my phone in a book.

LOL at Buddy’s tail! Is that your cat because if it is, hysterical (mostly because I had a cat named Buddy, too). One of my favorite parts of my Page Habit subscription was all the bookmarks I got. Made me sad when they went under.
Here is our Top Ten Tuesday. Thank you!

Receipts are my #1 bookmark. They’re so easy since they come with books when you buy them.

Receipts rank high amongst my Bookmarks of Opportunity, though less since they started including so much account information. Nowadays the remote control is a more likely substitute 😉

It snowed here for us as well overnight! Over 30cm… I was not prepared. “Buddy’s tail” sounds like the best bookmark and makes me wish my dog Tidus could lay still for me to do this ahhh. Thanks for sharing your list!
