Happy Tuesday, readers!
Have you changed as a reader? I think I have. And I am loving the next topic that talks about how I’ve evolved my reading habits.
Top Ten Tuesday, originally created by The Broke and the Bookish and now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl, is a weekly meme. This week’s prompt is changes in our reading life. I’ve been waiting for this topic, and I am excited to see how everyone has changed over the years.
Have fun reading!
I Read More Romance
Weird, huh? Probably two or three years ago, I wouldn’t have picked up a romance book. Now though, I enjoy reading this genre. It doesn’t matter if the book is paranormal or contemporary. I love romance books, which I never thought I’d say.
While I Love YA, NA and Adult Books Are Appealing
I still adore reading YA. But as I get older, I find the NA and adult genres more appealing. I connect with the main characters who are dealing with the same situations I’m going through.
I Go on More Book Binges, Depending on the Series or Book
When I was younger, I did go on some book binges, but I never had many during the year. Once I got older, I feel I fall into binges more frequently than I used to, especially if the series is in one of my favourite genres.
I Actually Love Science Fiction Now
I love watching sci-fi movies and shows. But that love didn’t always translate into books. I didn’t always feel a bond between me and the storyline. Now, that connection has changed, and I rather love reading science fiction books.
I’m Not Picky over the Book’s Format
Whether it’s hardcover or paperback, I don’t care what the book’s format is. I just want to read. Years ago though, that was a different story. I hated reading mass paperbacks or even regular paperbacks. I was strictly a hardcover reader. That’s changed though. I love paperbacks of all kinds, and I’m not so picky about what I read.
I always prefer the physical book (paperback or hardcover) and of course, enjoy a good romance novel, too. 🙂

I love a physical book, and I’ve been reconnecting with adult fiction again, including romance.

I used to do series binges all the time but I haven’t in a while. Maybe I need to find the right series!

Nice list! I enjoy a good romance as well. I’ve also started binge reading series as well. This is mostly because I have a hard time keeping up with new releases, but this also means I get to enjoy the books one after another! Here is our Top Ten Tuesday.

I love to go on a book binge, and read and read and read about one subject or theme.

I definitely go on more book binges and I know I read a lot more now than I do before (if my GR reading challenge is anything to go by)! Great list 🙂

I’m not picky on the format either. I’ll take a book in whatever form I can consume it.

I prefer physical books, most of the time. Ebooks are great for getting more ARCs and not taking up space. I still prefer hardbacks to paperbacks though.
It’s interesting seeing people’s lists this week!

It’s funny how I’m completely the opposite way with almost all of these! 😂 I rarely ever read romance or non-fiction, I never read series and I only really go for paperbacks or audiobooks. I love how everyone in this community has such different tastes 🙂

Hardbacks are forever my favorite. I just can’t be trusted with a paperback!

I think it’s normal to gravitate to adult/NA more often as you get older. I did that. I still love reading a good YA book, though. I don’t think you can ever truly outgrow them completely.

I agree with so many of these! I love that you’ve expanded your genres and what not–it is so good to explore the many ages and plots and genres and all that jazz. I also read a lot more romance now vs. then! Also, I am the same about formats. I used to be strictly hardcover!
