Top Ten Tuesday | Bookish Discoveries I Made in 2019

Happy Tuesday, readers!

We’re halfway through January. And there’s barely any snow on the ground. Hopefully, we get some of the white stuff soon, right? For this week’s topic, I wasn’t sure what I’d write, but I came up with a few topics.

Top Ten Tuesday, originally created by The Broke and the Bookish and now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl, is a weekly meme. The next prompt is bookish discoveries I made in 2019.

Enjoy!

Bully Romance

I was hesitant with this genre since I was bullied. I wasn’t sure if I’d like it or stomach it. However, with the books I’ve picked, I’ve fallen for it.

Contemporary Reverse Harem

I’m not a huge fan of contemporary romance. But I am with contemporary RH. I stayed away from this subgenre because I doubted I’d loved it. I was so wrong.

Discord

Discord has kept me sane. My book squad introduced me to this app, and I haven’t looked back since. I’ve talked about books, bookish controversies, and everyday life problems. My book squad saved me when I didn’t know I needed saving.

RHRA

Reverse Harem Readers and Authors may be one of the most tempting Facebook groups I’ve been in. RH authors highlight their upcoming books, and readers get first access to them. This group may be my favourite because I get to be surrounded by people who love RH.

Tome Raiders: Subscription Box Spies

This Facebook group has brought out my Slytherin. Many people have a lot of complaints about subscription boxes, but they don’t have many places to address their concerns, until now. I love this group because I can say whatever I want and not worry about what will happen. And I’ve saved many a penny on boxes I needed to stay away from.

  1. I’ve never heard of it but now I’m really curious about what ‘Bully Romance’ is. What’s a book from that genre that you’d recommend checking out for those curious to know more? Lol I just got introduced to Discord this year and I love it too 🙂
