Top Ten Tuesday | Best Book Lines

Happy Tuesday, bloggers

So a mini-heatwave has decided to hit southern Ontario, and I feel like a melting witch. I’m glad we can find freezies!

Top Ten Tuesday, originally created by The Broke and the Bookish and now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl, is a weekly meme. The final May prompt is best opening lines. I’ve decided to pick my favourite book quotes.

Enjoy the read!

Heir of Fire

“Wrong kind of witch.” —Manon Blackbeak

Manon is one of fave characters. I adore her. And I wish I were as cutthroat as she is.

Serpent & Dove

“If she was destined to burn in Hell, I would burn with her.” —Reid Diggory

Reid went from an innocent boy to a “touch my wife, and I kill you” man, and I can’t help but squee every time I see how he progresses.

House of Earth and Blood

“Light it up.”—Bryce and Bryce Quinlan and Fendyr

MY HEART. It’s breaking. Again. No. Oh god, this line gets me every time. My blog squad screams it every so often, and we weep.

To Kill a Kingdom

“I have a heart for every year I’ve been alive.”—Lira

I love Slytherin-vibe books. I truly do. So that’s why I can’t resist quoting Lira. She’s one of the best sirens I’ve ever read.

Filthy Rich Boys

“What they don’t know is that the hardest hearts are forged in fire. With their cruelty and their jokes and their laughter, they’ve forged me into something spectacular.”Marnye Reed

My girl! She’s the sweetest girl who has the best revenge plot. When I read her story in one of the worst times of my life, I felt a connection to her. And I love how she didn’t let anyone tear her down.
