Happy Tuesday, bloggers!
Last week, I skipped TTT since I rarely read books with happy beach/summer-themed covers. With this next topic though, I get to show the world how horrible my memory is. 😂
Top Ten Tuesday, originally created by The Broke and the Bookish and now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl, is a weekly meme. This week’s prompt is books I’ve added to my TBR and forgotten why.
Enjoy the read!
Capturing the Devil
I’m sorry book community. I haven’t read Kerri’s work, even this series. So why do I have the final book on my list? Who knows. From what my book squad has said, I haven’t missed much.
The Black Witch
Why is this book on my list? I haven’t heard a lot of good praise about it, so I’m not sure.
Shimmy Bang Sparkle
I love the cover. Who doesn’t love a hot, tatted guy on a cover? But I have little memory as to why I wanted to read it. However, I’m interested in the premise of the book though.
The Wonder
I heard a lot of buzz surrounding this book when it came out. But since then, I can’t for the life of me remember why I put it on my TBR list. I’ve never read anything written by Emma. So maybe the hype got to me.
Justice Buried
Maybe one night, I thought the cover looked good. And perhaps I added it to my list. I’m not sure. I don’t know what the novel is about.
Great list. I’m with you–if I didn’t read previous books in the series I’m not reading a later one. Lots of awesome covers, though.

I do remember lots of buzz about The Wonder, but I can’t remember what it’s about either. 😉 Great list!

The Wonder looks good, but now I am making my list longer. Ha! Oh man. This is a tough week. I want my TBR to go down in size not up, but I’m afraid I’ll be adding books to my list tonight based on the books people list. My TTT list of books I don’t remember why I wanted to read

I had to laugh about you adding the last book in the Stalking Jack the Ripper series without having read the other two. But I’ve done the same thing before. I once read this amazing book, and then found out it was the final book in the series! When I started the series from the beginning I was disappointed, because the author’s debut wasn’t as good as the fifth book.

I have heard of The Wonder but don’t have the first clue what it is about.

I don’t think I’ve ever ended up with a random last book in a series on my TBR!

I kept seeing The Wonder on sale at the bookstore last year and the cover was beautiful but there was something about the book that just had me feeling ‘meh’ so I never bought it! Also, I have an unpopular opinion but I wasn’t such a big fan of the Stalking Jack the Ripper series! 🙈 Great list!

I read Stalking Jack the Ripper and really enjoyed it. I had a hard time getting into the second book though and put it aside for a while. So I definitely haven’t read the latest book in the series. I might give the series a try some other time. Here is my Top Ten Tuesday.

I haven’t read any of these. I hope that even though you couldn’t remember why you added them at first, they remind you when you read them!

The Stalking Jack the Ripper series is one of my favorite YA Historical Fiction series! I have the Black Witch on mine strictly because I wanted to read a book that the entire bookish community seems to hate to see if it’s actually justified. I feel like I had Justice Buried on mine at some point but can’t remember why
