Happy Tuesday, bloggers!
Book titles are a hit and miss for some readers. Either they’re great and also work, or they miss the mark entirely. And some are so bloody long that you don’t know how they got past the marketing meetings.
Top Ten Tuesday, originally created by The Broke and the Bookish and now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl, is a weekly meme. The next prompt is super long book titles. Now some of these titles aren’t long, long. But they are longer than most.
Enjoy the post!
A Kingdom of Flesh and Fire
JLA is my new favourite author. I love this series and cannot wait to get into the rest of her books. My blogger squad convinced me to read it, and I’m hooked.
Anarchy at Prescott High
Ugh, Stunich. She’s a great author. She typically goes for the short and sweet titles, but with this series, she went all out, and I love this change.
The Princess Bride: S. Morgenstern’s Classic Tale of True Love and High Adventure
You thought it was just the Princess Bride. No, this title has a subtitle I didn’t know about. And I feel ashamed with that knowledge. For decades I thought it was just the title and nothing else.
The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society
This book is one of my favourite books. I adore it. I recommend it. Hell, if I could, I would throw it at people so they could read it. However, it’s wonderful. The name itself is a joke in the book, and that’s why I love the name even more.
Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children
I admit that I’ve never read the books. However, I’ve watched the movie, so I get the appeal. The title itself is unique.
