Top Ten Tuesday | Spring Cleaning

Happy Tuesday, bloggers!

I don’t do a lot of spring cleaning. I typically get rid of things I don’t want throughout the year. With books though, I have a hard time removing them from my TBR list and pile. So for this post, I want to highlight books I’d like to read soon.

Top Ten Tuesday, originally created by The Broke and the Bookish and now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl, is a weekly meme. The next prompt is spring cleaning. We can talk about books we want to get off our TBR list or remove them completely.

Enjoy the post!

These Violent Delights

This book has been on my list for a while. I’m hesitant to read it though because I’m not a huge fan of Romeo and Juliet. Yet I want nothing more than to support Chloe. So I’ll take the plunge soon.

A Sky beyond the Storm

Do you know how scared I am to finish the series? I’ve been with it since it began, and I’m not ready. I truly am. I don’t want my babies to be hurt, and I don’t want my heart to crash to the floor.

Touched by Fire

I’ve heard a lot about Kel and her work. But I haven’t gotten around to any of her books. This one has been sitting on my list for a while, so I’m excited.

I’m afraid of the footnotes. I want nothing more than to read the book, but the footnotes have intimidated me.

A Discovery of Witches

Even though I love the show, I haven’t gotten to read the book that inspired it. I’ve wanted to for several years, but life got in the way. And I completely forgot about it.

  1. I want to read Nevernight and I have actually tried a few times – but yes, those footnotes! They’re kind of distracting. I’ve heard the audiobook can help with that, I don’t know. haha Happy reading!

  2. If you’re worried about Nevernight’s footnotes, I strongly recommend the audiobook version! The narrator weaves the footnotes right into the story so smoothly that you barely even notice they were footnotes at all, and it’s so worth it! ♥

  3. The ending to A Sky Beyond the Storm was WONDERFUL! Of course the characters are going to go through hell, but don’t be afraid of how she ends it. Definitely not a throw your book across the room kinda ending!
