Happy Tuesday, bloggers!
Other than the cover design, the book title is the first element you see in book marketing. It’ll either make or break the book. So the title is supreme. Sometimes, you see your typical X of Y and Z, a meaningful title, or a funny one. I particularly love the last option.
I’ve watched most of the series but haven’t picked up the book yet. But I know the gist of it though. And I find the title hilarious since most of the story has nothing good about it. I love the play on words.
The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fuck
I have a thing for the F word. I love it. I say it far too much. So when I see it, even bleeped out, on a book cover, I can’t help but giggle like a five-year-old girl.
I don’t want you to believe I’m making fun of mental illness. In fact, I battle multiple illnesses, but I’ve found the light in the darkness. And sometimes, dealing with mental illness can be funny, so I love the title.
I am a huge Supernatural fan. And while I’m not a fan of the author and probably won’t read this book, I love the play on the show’s theme song.
My Plain Jane
I’ve always been called a plain Jane. I don’t know why. And I truly don’t care. But when I saw the name of this book, I got a good chuckle out of it.
