Top Ten Tuesday | Books I’d Gladly Throw into the Ocean

Happy Tuesday, bloggers!

This post will be a love-and-hate one. Some books, while beautifully written, make you angry or feel shocked. And the others, well, I wish I didn’t read.

Top Ten Tuesday, originally created by The Broke and the Bookish and now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl, is a weekly meme. The next prompt is books I’d gladly throw into the ocean.

Enjoy!

The Girl the Sea Gave Back

No play on words or clever thinking. I simply couldn’t get into this book.

Furyborn

The book is infuriating but great. Yet I wanted to pull my hair out because of all the twists and turns.

Lord of Shadows

Sometimes, Cassie’s books are a hit-or-miss. This series was rather good. But I wanted nothing more than to throw this installment out, then forget I ever read it. I cried far too long over that cliffhanger.

Anarchy

I love this novel and series. But that cliffhanger physically hurt me, and I’m not happy. I want to punch something or someone, then crawl in a hole until June.

Heartless

Ugh, the sixth installment was rough, horribly rough to read. I love Mari and her men. But their growth is one of the most difficult to get through.

  1. Lord of Shadows, oh my! I read that book the day before Queen of Air and Darkness came out, so the cliffhanger didn’t kill me. But the Chain of Iron book is!

  2. I’ve only read Lord of Shadows and although it was ages ago now (and I still haven’t read QoAaD) I do remember that cliffhanger being a sucker punch. Definitely have to re-read before (finally) finishing the series! Great list 🙂
