Top Ten Tuesday | Books I Refuse to Let Anyone Touch

Happy Tuesday, bloggers,

Oh goody, I get to show the world of how weird I am. Scratch that. You probably already know. But I might as well give you more examples, am I right?

Top Ten Tuesday, originally created by The Broke and the Bookish and now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl, is a weekly meme. The next topic is all about books we don’t want anyone, including other book lovers, touching. Frankly, I don’t let anyone, except my Mom, go near my books. I don’t let anyone borrow them either. So since I don’t own many signed or special copies, they hold more meaning for me. But I may have an awful case of OCD. I don’t know which.

So let’s get to the list, yes? I hope you enjoy the read.

Do I Have That Book Challenge

Happy Saturday, bloggers!

You know, I typically enjoy when the weekend arrives, but I have so much to work on. And I feel as if I need about three more days to sleep so I can handle everything. ๐Ÿ˜‚ So since I love procrastinating, I thought I’d work on a new post instead. I found this challenge on Bibliophagist. Sara hasn’t tagged anyone, but I loved her answers. And I thought it looks like fun.

Enjoy!

Rules

1. Time yourself trying to find each prompt on your shelf
2. Try and beat the time of the person who challenged you.

3. Donโ€™t forget to tag your challenger and the original creator.
4. Have fun!

2018 End of Year Book Survey

I wanted to do a yearly wrap-up post, but I cannot put together all of my favourite reads in one post. So when I found this book survey on Perpetual Page-Turner, I knew I found a solution. If you haven’t done so already, I recommend doing it as well.

2018 was a rough but thrilling ride, and I’m so happy to make it to another year. I hope you all enjoy the post, which may be long, so here are my apologies!

Monthly Wrap-Up | December 2018

Morning, book fam!

Who else feels drained from the holidays? I’ve been getting in some solid 10-hour nights, but I still feel exhausted. So I am glad I’m still on my work break, or I couldn’t function properly. Hopefully, for my new year’s resolution, I’ll get back into the blogging swing. I’ve missed talking with all of you.

But Christmas turned out great, and New Year’s Eve just set off a great new start to 2019. Is anyone freaking out over the number of books we need to buy and read this year?

Top Ten Tuesday | My Winter 2018 TBR

Morning, book fam,

I honestly believe my TBR list will never end, especially with all the books already on it, not including the ones I haven’t added yet.

Top Ten Tuesday, originally created by The Broke and the Bookish and now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl, is a weekly meme. For the second last topic of December, we show off our Winter TBR pile. I could add more. I should probably list more since I have so many on my shelves, but I don’t want to freak myself out. ๐Ÿ˜‚ I shouldn’t say that. Holiday break starts this week, so I’ll have plenty of time to catch up. Book binge, shall we?!

So I hope you love my choices. Have fun!

Top Ten Tuesday | Books with Red, White, and Black Covers

Hey, everyone!

Canada’s Day has just passed, and I was stuck in the house so I wouldn’t melt like a cruel witch I am. I guess this post serves as a late celebration for my country’s birthday. ๐Ÿ˜‚ I couldn’t find just red and white, so I went with red, white, and black, which is our Olympic colours.

And I’d like to wish all my US bloggers a happy fourth of July!!! Hopefully, we’re all out of this horrible heat wave by then. If not, be careful, dearies.

Vengeful by V. E. Schwab

This cover gives me shivers. It’s so aesthetically pleasing. I’m Schwab Trashโ„ข, so you know I need to read this series. This series is one of the most original plots I’ve heard of, and I can’t wait to get these books.

Queen of Shadows by Sarah J. Maas

I’ve heard this installment is one of the best, so I hope that’s true. I need to start reading this series. I can’t keep pushing it off. But not this year. I just need to see how Manon and Aelin interact with each other. ๐Ÿ˜‚

City of Ghosts by V. E. Schwab

Another Schwab book I need to read and hope doesn’t sit on my TBR list. Ugh, this cover is so beautiful. I can’t get over it. I don’t always read ghost stories, but I’ll buy anything she writes.

Godsgrave by Jay Kristoff

The more I look at this series, the more I need to read it. LOOK AT THAT COVER. I’m in heaven. And frankly, I need more vicious female leads in my life. They just complete me.

Dangerous Creatures by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl

I’m a huge Caster Chronicles fan. I’ve read all the books, swooned over all the characters, and loved yet hated the film (let’s just say I love to hate it). So I was giddy when I heard my two favourite authors were expanding the series. I loved this book. But I absolutely hate how this spin-off ended. The fans are still expecting the third book, but no, we aren’t getting it.

Cruel Beauty by Rosamund Hodge

This book sounds enchanting, and I’ve been meaning to read it. But you know how it is. You add a book to your list, then forget about it. Beauty and the Beast is one of my top three favourite classic stories. I adore it. So I might take a chance in reading this retelling.
