The Netflix Book Tag

Morning, sweets!

Okay, I found this tag on Nerd Narration. Taylor, one of my besties, is back! You don’t know how long I’ve waited to say those words. But she is. I loved her responses, so I thought I’d be a part of the fun. Don’t forget to visit her wonderful blog!

Recently Watched | The Last Book You Finished

I still get a little teary-eyed when I think about Spin the Dawn. I’m not surprised I loved it, but the intensity is more than I anticipated. I truly need the sequel.

Top Picks | A Book That Has Been Recommended to You Based on What You’ve Previously Read

My blogger team (you know who you are, dearies!) won’t let me skip this series. I do not have a say. I have to read it, or they’ll be disappointed. Or they’ll badger me until I do so.

Recently Added | The Last Book You Purchased

Do you know how many pre-orders I have on my list right now?! So I’ll choose the last physical purchase, which is…

Popular on Netflix | Books That Everyone Knows (Two You’ve Read, and Two You Have No Interest in Reading)

Even though I’ve read the first two several times, I don’t think I’ll ever go back them. They haven’t aged as well as I’d hoped. Now the last two, I don’t see the point. I’ve watched the movies, which aren’t impressive.

Comedies | A Funny Book

Don’t quote me on this since I am going on various recommendations from my friends. I am dying to see if Becky will make me laugh out loud.

Dramas | A Character Who Is a Drama Queen/King

Naturally, Nikolai is royalty and a drama king. So there are no surprises he’s on my list. Nope. Nada!

Animated | A Book with Cartoons on the Cover

Blame Kal for this pick. Her excitement over Margaret’s book is enjoyable. And now I need to add it to my TBR pile, which isn’t happy right now.

Watch It Again | A Book or Series You Want to Reread

I’d love to read the series on a yearly basis, but I’m not sure if I can wait. I miss the Bullets, Sunshine, and Nix, who’s getting his own book!

Documentaries | A Nonfiction Book You’d Recommend to Everyone

I rarely read nonfiction titles. I’m more of a fiction reader, as you can tell. However, I’ve had numerous close friends recommend this book to me, so I’m passing it onto you all.

Action and Adventure | An Action-Packed Book or Series

I love, love, LOVE this book. And I wish it were in a series. But alas, I fell for a standalone. But don’t let that sway you though. Sorcery of Thorns has warrior librarians. Yes, WARRIOR LIBRARIANS. And the grimoires talk, scream, and sometimes are salty if you do something wrong.

New Releases | A Book That Just Came Out or Will Be Coming Out Soon That You Can’t Wait to Read

I’m eager to head to my closest Indigo store so I can pick up a copy. I am loving all the rave reviews I’ve read and want to dive right into this atmospheric horror. It’s such a great book for a summer storm, don’t you think?

  1. Great choices! If I may, I just have one thing to say on The Maze Runner: I absolutely hated the movies compared to the books. I remember watching the second one and being all “what. is. happening.” If, one day, you don’t have anything else to read (ha), you could maybe try it out! 🙂

  2. Cool list! I read the Maze Runner (whole series) but couldn’t bear the movie :/ Divergent… well, read and watched the first, and i think the movie was more enjoyable 😀

    Thanks for the tag!

  3. Thank you so much for the tag! I’m currently on a Netflix binge at the moment so it feels very fitting! Thankfully we’re in the process of getting caught up on tags at the moment, so we might even do this in the next few months. (I love how the prospect of just doing this tag in 2019 is a win at the moment!) 😂

You are totally right to point out what a drama queen Nikolai is! I love him for it, but he is so over the top at some points! I also totally agree with you about Sorcery of Thorns! It was amazing and I loved how it centered around a library! I actually loved how it was a standalone though because I knew it would be the perfect amount of action and adventure for my taste! I can’t wait to answer these questions myself!

  4. Okay friend fail that I didn’t respond to this sooner! I sincerely apologize, but your intro meant the world! Thanks so much, sweet friend!!

As for the post, love that you got to partake almost as I love your answers!! I haven’t read Spin the Dawn yet, but your response makes me want to pick it up asap! I totally agree with you about Nikolai being a sassy drama king, and I think I mentioned this in another post of yours (??) but I’m very intrigued by Sunshine and Bullets.

Love you and thanks so much for doing this tag!! ❤
