Books I’ll (Probably) Never Read Book Tag

Morning, friends!

Has this month moved slowly for you? I feel it has for me. I’ve been looking for new book tags. And I think I’ve found one at Howling Libraries. Destiny hasn’t tagged anyone in particular. But I loved her answers though and thought I’d give it a chance!

So show Destiny some love before you check out my post.

A Really Hyped Book You’re Not Interested in Reading

I’m sorry, Tahereh, but the eyes on your covers freak me out. And I still don’t get the appeal of this dystopian. So Juliette can’t be touched, right? Is she a weapon? Or is she a curse? I’m so confused right now.

A Series You Won’t Start/Won’t Be Finishing

Gena, oh Gena, you fracked up. Badly. So badly. I devoured this series, and I loved these boys. But I couldn’t help but scream when I found out she killed my OTP, a pairing that SHE HINTED AT FOR YEARS. I’ll read the books I have now, but I won’t finish this series.

A Classic You’re Not Interested In

I’ve never wanted to read Fitzgerald’s classic. Gatsby sounds pretentious and insufferable.

A Genre You Never Read

Erotica. I love, LOVE, reverse harem and paranormal romance. But when sex overrides plot, I drop the line. And frankly, reading that tampon scene in Fifty Shades of Grey was terrifying.

A Book on Your Shelves You’ll Probably Never Read

While I love the design of the cover, I’m not interested in picking up since the book itself reminds me of an internship rejection.

Tag Time

You all know the deal. Please don’t feel like you need to do this tag. I want you all to have fun. If you do, darlings, link back to my post! Love you!

  1. God, I had forgotten about the tampon scene in Fifty Shades *shudder*. I picked up Shatter Me for about 5 minutes and then put it down – I really don’t think you’re missing much. The writing style is /bizarre/ and her use of metaphors and similes is exhausting.

  2. I feel you on Great Gatsby. I’ve been kind of interested in it in the past but everything I know about it makes me think I’d hate it, and I kind of think if I haven’t read it at this point in my life I’m not going to. Glad I’m not the only one who hasn’t read it!

I am legit laughing so hard right now because SAME. I don’t get the covers at all and it doesn’t scream dystopian to me at all. It’s weird. I do own the book though and will eventually read it.
