Top Ten Tuesday | Books That Gave Me a Book Hangover

Happy Tuesday, bloggers!

Well, I took some time off from blogging, so I’m happy to be back!

Top Ten Tuesday, originally created by The Broke and the Bookish and now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl, is a weekly meme. The next prompt is books that gave me a book hangover.

I hope you love my picks!

Furyborn

Ugh, this book just plays around with your head. The back-and-forth gets some getting used to. However, once you get into the storyline, you can’t get enough.

HAVOC

This book has put me in my most recent hangover. It’s my first Stunich book, and I’m hooked! She knows how to write a gritty, dark romance that just drags you in.

Empire of Storms

Damn you Sarah and your Maas destruction. I was completely floored by the ending of this book and haven’t been able to put myself together again. It took me a while to get back into a book.

Spin the Dawn

Elizabeth’s storytelling is stellar. I love her characters, her storyline, and her writing. After the ending, I felt lost and couldn’t get into another book for a long while.

The Queen of Nothing

Holly’s final book put me in a month-long hangover, and I still feel its effects now. I didn’t feel as compelled as her other novels in this series, but something about an ending of a good series didn’t sit well with me.

  1. Ooo! I wanted to read Spin the Dawn back when it was a brand new release, but didn’t make time for it. I’ll have to do so in 2020; guess the good thing is, it’ll be less time between this one and its sequel (hopefully I’ll like it that well). Happy Top Ten Tuesday! 🙂

  2. Great choices! I’m sad that I read Furyborn on audiobook because I think it would have been better for me as a physical book. That’s mainly why I haven’t read the sequel yet, because I need to read it on paper (because of it’s time traveling nature).

  3. I heard lots about Spin the Dawn before it released, but not much either so I kept forgetting to pick it up, I’ll have to look at it this year

  4. I feel you on Queen of Nothing!! I can’t believe it’s over. I still have to read Spin the Dawn! Great list. 🙂
Also, glad you are back! I am too, after my like year break. LOL

  5. I just finished – literally this morning – Queen of Nothing and can 100% relate. I don’t know what to do with myself now. I mean, what does one read??? Because I couldn’t stop thinking about Jude and Cardan I spent the day writing long ass reviews for The Queen of Nothing and The Wicked King in under two hours. That never happens!!! Clearly I’m still reeling ahaha 😉
