Who else is dying for this weekend? I am thrilled to have a long weekend. Or at least, I’m happy to have more time to read and forget everything else I should be doing.
I found this tag on Hammock of Books. I loved what Kay wrote and wanted to take a try at it. Obviously, if you haven’t checked out her blog, you’re missing out.
If you were a book genre, what would it be?
YA/NA fantasy comes to mind. I can’t stand contemporary, so I’m clearly not that. I feel as if the characters in this genre get tested the most in their early years. And while every trial can break them, they come out swinging.
What villain from a book do you identify with the most?
Is Cardan a villain? What about Eve or the lifelikes? Answering the question is much harder than I thought it would be. But I sway from the morally grey characters to the damaged ones who want to see the world burn, so I’m not surprised I picked these choices.
What protagonist are you most similar to?
Again, this character isn’t afraid of going rogue. Nova Artino questions who she is when she’s on either side. And I believe she’ll realize the truth in Supernova. Even at the beginning, she was throwing cheesy one-liners while hiding a past riddled with pain.
Which book did you connect with in the past that you no longer do?
I’ve read the Caster Chronicles more times than I can remember. And I hoped to love Kami and Margaret’s second series. While the first book was good, the sequel felt disconnected from the entire book universe. I walked away from it since the authors aren’t finishing the series.
What recent book read would you love to be a character in?
Be worshipped by four incredibly dominant men with tattoos? SIGN ME UP. Okay, maybe the mental illness not so much.
How do your reading habits show off in your personality?
Similar to Kay, I don’t DNF books often. I am stubborn to a T. However, when I find something worth my time, I dedicate all of it to my reading. I’ve become quite obsessive over series and characters. I’m not sure that’s a good trait though.
I’ve noticed that my life may be chaotic and disorganized, but I show pride in my pristine books. I go a bit OCD with them, and I cannot stand when they are damaged.
What book taught you something about yourself?
Lada is a complex character. However, she does not hide her dark side. She embraces it rather well. So while I struggled with some of her character development in the sequel, I loved how she shows it’s okay to not only be strong but also be ruthless as well.

I don’t own many physical copies of books, but i do prefer them in good condition, for their decorative purpose as well 😀

Lada is such a great complex heroine. I still haven’t finished that series yet but I Lada’s story is so compelling.
